Full backup of the original SD card for R36S Clone consoles (GA36-MB V1.1-20251025) running EmuELEC 4.7. Intended for recovery when the original SD card is damaged or lost.
NOTE: If the SHA256 hash matches, the file is confirmed to be complete and unmodified.
⚠️ Important (Read before flashing)
Before using Method 1 or Method 2, you must extract the archive R36S_GA36-MB_V1.1_EmuELEC_4.7.7z.
Inside the extracted folder you will find the .img file, which is the
actual SD card image that must be flashed to the microSD card.
🧰 How to restore the image (Windows)
You can use DiskGenius or Rufus. Both work perfectly.
🔹 Method 1: DiskGenius (recommended)
Download and install DiskGenius
Insert the SD card into your PC
Run DiskGenius as Administrator
Go to:
Tools → Write Image To Disk
Select the backup .img file
Carefully select the correct SD card (double-check this)
Click Start
Wait until the process finishes (it may take several minutes)
Safely eject the SD card
Insert the SD card into the console and power it on
🔹 Method 2: Rufus
Download Rufus
Insert the SD card into your PC
Open Rufus
Under Device, select the correct SD card
Under Boot selection, click SELECT
Choose the backup .img file
Rufus will automatically detect the correct mode
Click START
Accept the warnings
When finished, safely eject the SD card and insert it into the console
🚀 First boot
The first boot may take longer than usual
EmuELEC may automatically resize partitions
Do not power off the console during this process
🛑 Common issues
Black screen → Wrong SD card or incompatible console
Does not boot → Defective SD card or bad write process
Boots but crashes → Use a higher-quality SD card

No. This is a 1:1 image of the original SD card that came with the console.
Nothing has been modified.
❓ Can I use this on a different R36S model or board?
No. This image is ONLY compatible with the GA36-MB V1.1 motherboard.
Using it on other boards may result in a non-booting system.
❓ Can I use a 64 GB SD card?
No. A 128 GB SD card is required.
Using smaller cards is not recommended and may fail.
❓ Why is the backup split into multiple files?
To keep the project 100% free and avoid paid hosting services.
All parts must be downloaded and extracted together.
❓ Where is the .img file?
The .img file is inside the extracted archive.
